The reasons why puppies chew

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:15 am

The reasons why puppies chew on your lovely bathroom slippers a time is because they are teething. Teething in babies produces pretty much the same desire to chew in dogs. Teething dogs usually chew on things to help them with the itching sensation it produces. A puppy is usually a frisky bundle of energy and enthusiasm that can frustrate you if it is unchanneled. A puppys exuberance for adventure needs to be streamlined to ensure that it does not cause harm to itself or to any family member in the house. Training your dog instills in it a sense of discipline and mannerisms. The socialization period of a puppys life begins when it is twenty one days old. Puppys socialize by engaging actively in social play and playful sexual behavior. A puppy is highly adventurous during the socialization stage and needs to be carefully monitored. A puppys extremely playful tendency can cause it to hurt your kids if you have them. Puppies tend to kick, scratch and nibble when they are overly playful. You should be able to train your puppy so that it does not exhibit innocently harmful behaviors such as scratching all the time. The key to raising a healthy obedient puppy is consistently. The more you are consistent and firm with the things you want your dog to learn, the more well behaved it becomes. If you are too flexible during the training sessions for your dog, you may end up confusing it.
